How to craft a startup: Lessons from Garena journey

15 Sep, 2016 – As a startup veteran, CEO of Garena Online (Thailand) Nok Maneerut is chosen to be a main speaker of IOIC Meetup #11 sharing her insights and experience on the online-gaming business to students and alumni at Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.

For the first time, the engineering alumnus was introduced to the monthly meetup and explored the inside story of Garena and how gaming will play an increasing role in Southeast Asia. She also gave a guide on how to grow a startup in early stages and survive in the real world. “First is language. It’s a key for Thai developers to go global.” said Maneerut. “While another is localization. This is to adapt a product or a content to resonate with the specific audience.”

The atmosphere at the experience-sharing event was very active, with broad topics and interesting Q&A session.
