Garena (Thailand), led by Ms. Maneerut Anulomsombut - Chief Executive Officer of Sea (Thailand), had recently donated 500,000 baht to Taejai.com, an online fundraising platform, supporting 3 social projects including: “Life Hero x Luk Riang”, a scholarship program for improving the youth’s quality of life in the southern border provinces of Thailand, “Ooca: Wall of Sharing”, a project for university students to provide accessible mental health services, “Bye Bye Plastic Bag Thailand”, a project aiming to empower people and raise awareness on environmental issues and drive to make Eco Education to be a core curriculum component in school.
Part of the donation came from the Garena Cosplay Contest 2022 in the Garena World 2022. Over 24,000 online participants had voted for their favorite cosplayers and every vote has been converted into a donation to support their selected social projects, reflecting the new generation's interest in social issues. Over 40% of participants had chosen to support the education fundraising through the “Life Hero x Luk Riang” project. Meanwhile, 31% likely be concerned with environmental issues by supporting “Bye Bye Plastic Bag Thailand”,an environmental campaign and 29% had chosen to support the “Ooca: Wall of Sharing” project.
