Garena Thailand as a judge of Hult Prize on campus
Dec 13, 2016 – Garena Online (Thailand) joined the world’s largest student case competition ‘Hult Prize@Chula’ in a final pitch round as a judge selecting the winner to the regional finals.
This time, Hult Prize on Thailand campus was hosted by Chulalongkorn University with 2017’s challenge “Refugees - Reawakening Human Potential” which focuses on restoring the rights and dignity of 10 million refugees with competing 12 teams. General Manager Games Allen Hsu together with three other judges had a tough decision ahead of the students' pitches and finally announced “Pizza at 2am!” as the champion.
As the winning team, “Pizza at 2am!” will represent Thailand in the regional finals alongside other student entrepreneurs across other 5 continents – Bonton, San Francisco, London, Dubai, and Shanghai – in March next year for a chance to secure $1,000,000 in start-up funding.
The Hult Prize Foundation is a start-up accelerator for budding young social entrepreneurs emerging from the world’s universities named as one of the top five ideas changing the world by President Bill Clinton and TIME Magazine.
