Garena host eSports biggest event in SEA

Apr 1, 2016 – Allen Hsu, Corporate Partnership Senior Manager of Garena Online (Thailand) has delivered a welcome speech during the opening ceremony of the annual eSports event ‘Garena Star League 2017 (GSL 2017)’ together with the Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, Assoc Prof Dr. Chawanee Thongroj.

The objectives of the event are to show the country’s potential of eSports in Southeast Asia, to drive eSports movement by bringing world-class eSports experience to Thais, and especially to give back to our players and communities.

“One of our core values in Garena is we serve but don’t simply serve.” Allen said. “When we do we serve the best, because you’re the best gamers so you deserve the best event from us from Garena.”

Considering as the biggest eSports event in SEA, the fifth GSL brought together popular Garena PC and mobile games showcases and also featured dramatic eSports competitions and activities along with computer hardwares.
